Our 10th grade Realschule students were surprised by Manchester’s interesting sights and history and grew together as a team.

On our five-day class trip to Manchester, we wanted to learn new things, experience a different culture and become closer as a group.

On the first day, it was very rainy, but that didn’t stop us from doing really interesting things. Our trip was planned well, so we had a lot of activities to do. Just to name a few, we visited the National Science Museum, the National Football Museum and one of Britain’s largest malls. We also went on a city tour with a guide who told us all about the history and culture of Manchester. Our program was very varied: On one day alone, we took a tour of the Old Trafford stadium in the morning, and in the afternoon we visited the Imperial War Museum.

Our team spirit improved when we went to the Crystal Maze Experience. This was a really hard escape room where we needed to use our personal skills and work as a team to complete it. These team skills came in handy when we played laser tag a few evenings later!

Manchester was an inviting city with many friendly people and many interesting restaurants. Our stay in the hotel was also very comfortable and the perfect place to relax after long days full of many experiences.

During the trip, we all felt happy and enjoyed spending time together. We all got to know each other much better and got along well. We had a lot of time to spend together and talk, which helped us to grow together as a team!

We would like to thank our teachers Ms. Güssefeld, Mr. Dimitriou and Mr. Williams for these beautiful days and all the effort they put in to make this class trip so special. The entire groups appreciates the great experience!
